Job summary

Schindler Group is recruiting a Lift Installation Engineer to deliver new lift installations across Scotland. You will install lift equipment safely, test and handover, and work with project teams and customers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have recognised lift engineering qualifications, installation experience, and strong safety focus. UK driving licence and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised lift engineering qualification and installation experience.
• Experience installing lift equipment in new, refurbishment or modernisation environments.
• Strong knowledge of lift installation practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Install lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment per procedures and safety rules.
• Assemble traction equipment, position and align lift systems.
• Install suspension ropes, governor ropes and safety devices on new or modernisation projects.
• Install lift entrances, doors and safety devices including manual and automatic systems.
• Perform final checks, adjustments and pre-commissioning for testing and handover.
• Conduct site surveys to support efficient project delivery.
• Provide updates on progress, resources, and issues affecting schedule.
• Troubleshoot installation issues through fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Maintain safe, clean and high-quality installation practices.
