We’re currently looking for Lift Engineer Improver to join our team in East Anglia, covering the Cambridge area.
For this role, you’ll need to be located in or near Cambridge to support the area effectively.
Someone with the right attitude, some hands‑on or technical foundation, and the drive to learn - but who isn’t fully qualified yet.
Think of it as the stage between: Apprentice (learning basics) → Improver (building practical competence) → Qualified Engineer.
As a Lift Service Improver, you’ll support experienced engineers in delivering planned maintenance, minor repairs, and safety inspections across a variety of lift systems. Spending your time out on site, you’ll shadow service routes, assist with fault finding, and gradually take on hands‑on maintenance tasks, learning how to work with different lift types, control systems, and components. You’ll help prepare tools and equipment, complete basic service documentation, and play a key role in keeping systems running safely and efficiently.
This is a development‑focused role where you’ll build strong technical skills, gain a solid understanding of industry safety standards, and work towards your NVQ3 in Lift Engineering, with a clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified, independent engineer.
In addition, you’ll have access to a wide range of flexible benefits, including dental insurance, private medical cover, GymFlex membership, and exclusive KONE discounts – allowing you to tailor your package to suit your lifestyle.
Please note: this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
