Job summary

KONE in East Anglia invites applicants for a Lift Service Improver to support engineers across a range of lift systems. Based in or near Cambridge, you will spend time on site shadowing routes, assisting with fault finding, and gradually taking on maintenance tasks while learning control systems and components.

This development-focused role offers a clear pathway to NVQ3 in Lift Engineering and ultimately becoming a fully qualified engineer, with a supportive team, training, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Some experience within the lift industry or a relevant engineering background.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a hands-on role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced engineers in delivering planned maintenance, minor repairs and safety inspections across lift systems.
• Shadow service routes, assist with fault finding, and gradually take on hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Prepare tools and equipment, complete basic service documentation and contribute to safe, efficient operations.
