KONE is seeking a Lift Service Improver to support experienced engineers in the Cambridge area, working on planned maintenance, minor repairs, and safety inspections. The role is hands‑on, site‑based, and focused on building practical competence while progressing toward NVQ3 in Lift Engineering.

You will shadow routes, learn to fault‑find, work with various lift systems, and contribute to safe operations while developing essential skills for independent engineering.

Qualifications

• Some experience within the lift industry or a relevant engineering background.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a hands‑on role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Support experienced engineers in delivering planned maintenance, minor repairs, and safety inspections across a variety of lift systems.
• Shadow service routes, assist with fault finding, and gradually take on hands‑on maintenance tasks.
• Work with different lift types, control systems, and components; prepare tools and equipment.
• Complete basic service documentation and contribute to safe, efficient operation.
