Job summary

Virgin Active in London is seeking a Lifeguard to join our Operations Team. You will supervise pool and spa areas, ensure safety, deliver friendly service and support a welcoming member experience.

We provide training to achieve the Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding over a five-day course, plus benefits and career development within our wellness clubs. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool and spa areas, ensuring member safety at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a friendly, welcoming environment.
• Carry out routine poolside safety checks, water testing and plant monitoring, recording information.
• Respond to emergencies following Virgin Active procedures and lifeguarding protocols.
• Maintain high cleanliness and presentation across poolside, spa and changing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments and training.
• Support the wider Operations team with day-to-day club operations.
• Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities when required.
