Job summary

Virgin Active is recruiting a Lifeguard to join our Operations Team in London. The role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming environment with first-rate poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience. You will act as a club ambassador, respond to situations confidently, and uphold operational excellence across shifts.

The Lifeguard position is full time (40 hours). You will ensure water quality, safety checks and maintain high standards throughout the club, while adhering to mandatory

Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard qualification and full registration; RLSS, HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding, or STA Professional Award for Pool Lifeguard.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest poolside safety standards and cleanliness.
• Monitor water chemical levels and perform water quality checks.
• Respond confidently to incidents and act as a trusted club ambassador during shifts.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory training and health and safety requirements.
• Complete safety checks and record them accurately.
