Job summary

Hillbrow Health and Wellbeing is recruiting a Lifeguard Leisure Attendant to maintain safety and deliver a high standard of service at the centre in Eastbourne. You will guard the pool, support customers, and assist with front-desk tasks and memberships within a busy leisure environment.

You will respond to emergencies, supervise wet and dry areas, and ensure hygiene and safety throughout the facility. NPLQ is required or obtainable on our next course; training is provided and funding may be

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification or ability to obtain it in the near future.
• Experience in similar work environment is preferred.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers.
• Proactively promote the Centre to the public and respond to inquiries.
• Assist on reception as required and sell memberships.
• Lifeguard and supervise pool area; assist swimmers in difficulty; apply first aid as needed.
• Supervise changing rooms and showers; maintain hygiene standards.
• Record pool chemical levels and report issues to management.
• Prepare facilities for swimming lessons, water activities and private events.
• Assist in organizing children's activities during school holidays.
• Maintain a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification with monthly training.
• Follow Hillbrow Health and Wellbeing policies and Health & Safety regulations.
