Job summary

Freedom Leisure in Tenterden is hiring a Lifeguard to help deliver a welcoming, safe and enjoyable leisure experience. The role offers casual hours, on-site training, and the chance to join a friendly team across our leisure centre with gym, pools, and café.

You’ll need to swim competently, complete an interview swim test, and have NPLQ or be trained to obtain it. Enhanced DBS is required and we’ll support your development in delivering excellent customer service to all ages.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent (training can be provided).
• Competent swimmer; swim test will be part of the interview process.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to all levels of staff.
• Well developed interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers.
• Maintain a friendly, clean and safe pool environment.
• Assist pool users and enforce safety rules.
• Be flexible and able to work with managers’ instructions.
