Job summary

Leisure Solutions CommunityTrust is seeking lifeguards to join Loughborough Leisure Centre. This part-time role (20 hours per week) covers early mornings and late afternoons to keep the pool safe and welcoming.

You will deliver excellent customer service, supervise activities, maintain pool area cleanliness and equipment safety, and respond to emergencies. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is required or obtainable, with training and benefits provided.

Working hours:20 hours per week, Mon, 6am - 2.30pm, Wed, 3.30pm - 9pm and Thurs 11am - 7.30pm

Salary:£10.85 to£12.71 per hour + excellent benefits

What you'll need to do the role

You will need to have excellentcustomer serviceskills as you'll be interacting heavily with our customers. So, whether you've earned that experience in aleisureor another customer facing environment, you'll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.

You will be providingcustomer careto people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. And of course, when needed - you'll help to save lives.

As a lifeguard you'll naturally need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Lastly, you'll need to have strongswimmingskillsand it's essential that you hold aNational Pool Lifeguard Qualification(Royal Life Saving Society).
