Job summary

Leisure Solutions Community Trust is recruiting a full-time Lifeguard at Woughton Leisure Centre, MK6 5EJ. You will supervise pool activities, ensure safety, and provide excellent customer service to visitors of all ages.

The role includes early starts and weekends with full training and benefits on offer. National Lifeguard qualifications are essential, and you will join a supportive team at one of our 55 centres.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a people-focused approach.
• Must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society).
• Strong swimming skills and safety awareness.
• Ability to handle pressurised situations and assist with lifesaving when needed.

Working hours: 40 hours, 5 out of 7 days including weekends, earlies (from 5am) and lates (up to 11pm)

Salary: Up to £26,510 per annum + excellent benefits

As a Lifeguard you’ll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit.

Without you there can’t be any pool activity. But you won’t be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community. You will also receive fantastic training and development opportunities and benefits including free leisure access and other various discounts.

Due to this being a full-time role and the flexible shift pattern, you will need to be 18+ to be considered.

What You’ll Need To Do The Role

You’ll need to have excellent customer service skills as you’ll be interacting heavily with our customers. So, whether you’ve earned that experience in a leisure or another customer facing environment, you’ll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.

You will be providing customer care to people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. And of course, when needed – you’ll help to save lives.

As a lifeguard you’ll naturally need to be safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations. Lastly, you’ll need to have strong swimming skills and it’s essential that you hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society).
