Job summary

Nuffield Health Bromley Fitness and Wellbeing Gym is seeking a part‑time Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of members in our wet facilities. The role requires a current NPLQ or equivalent, with shifts including weekends and variable hours across a 16‑hour per week pattern.

You'll be part of a friendly team, delivering excellent customer care while maintaining high safety standards and helping members stay healthy and active.

Qualifications

• Holds National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Has training records available and up to date.
• Team player with focus on member safety and service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor poolside areas to ensure member safety and well‑being.
• Be attentive, alert and respond to incidents promptly.
• Create a friendly, professional environment for members.
• Welcome and support gym users across facilities.
• Enforce Pool Safety Guidelines at all times.
• Provide assistance and promote safe use of wet areas.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
