We are currently recruiting for a full-time Lifeguard to join our centre.
As a Lifeguard, you'll be a vital part of the centre, ensuring everyone can use the pool safely and have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit.
Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer care to people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and setup of pool equipment. When necessary, you'll also help to save lives.
You won't be working alone; our leisure centre has a close-knit, supportive team dedicated to providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community.
Serco manages these facilities daily on behalf of the Trust.
What you'll need to do the role
You should have excellent customer service skills, as you'll interact heavily with our customers. Whether gained in leisure or other customer-facing environments, you need to be a people person comfortable dealing with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
As a lifeguard, you must be safety-conscious, vigilant, and able to handle pressurized situations. Strong swimming skills are essential, and you must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society).
Due to this being a full-time role, we will only consider candidates aged 18 and above.
