Job summary

Queen Alexandra Charity in Birmingham is recruiting two Preparation for Life Tutors to support learners with complex needs at Pre-Entry Level. The role requires planning, assessing and delivering highly individualised life skills curricula within community settings.

You will work 36 hours per week during 39 weeks per year, with salary between £28,840.32 and £40,936.32 per annum. The post includes leading sessions, differentiating materials, and collaborating with curriculum managers to ensure

Qualifications

• A level 2 English language and maths qualification
• Level 5 teaching qualification
• Experience of sequenced steps, individualised approaches to curriculum, and using differentiation of materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, plan, and assess the curriculum with highly individualised approaches for learners with complex needs.
• Plan, assess and record individual learner achievements against EHCP plans and targets.
• Deliver quality teaching aligned to professional standards and learner needs.
• Prepare schemes of work and differentiated lesson planning with clear purpose and outcomes.
• Lead sessions with timed, scaffolded learning and monitor progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development and resource management in line with funding requirements.
