Job summary

The Bedford College Group (The Bedford Sixth Form) is seeking a Progress and Development Tutor to support students through life skills education, development planning and learning delivery. The role requires delivering engaging lessons, maintaining records, and contributing to curriculum quality and partnerships.

You will work 37 hours per week over 41 weeks with a fixed-term contract ending 25 June 2027, offering professional development and access to college courses.

Qualifications

• Holds or is working towards a teaching qualification and has Level 2 English and Maths.
• Relevant vocational industry knowledge to support learners.
• Awareness of quality assurance and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life skills education and learner development.
• Plan schemes of work, resources and differentiated activities; assess and record progress.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and support learner wellbeing.
• Contribute to course development, collaboration with colleagues and external organisations, and promotion of courses.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety requirements and complete administrative duties.
