Job summary

The Bedford Sixth Form, part of The Bedford College Group, is seeking a Progress and Development Tutor to deliver life skills and student development within a supportive learning community.

You will plan schemes of work, deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to safeguarding, equality and inclusion while upholding high standards of teaching and learning across 41 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Willing to work towards a teaching qualification with Level 2 English and Maths.
• Current vocational industry knowledge.
• Commitment to maintaining up-to-date professional and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life skills education to develop learners' knowledge, independence, confidence and progression opportunities.
• Plan schemes of work and deliver differentiated learning activities; assess progress and maintain learner records.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and support learner wellbeing and attendance.
