Job summary

Queen Alexandra College seeks a Preparation For Life Tutor to deliver and assess the curriculum for learners with diverse needs. The post is 36 hours per week across 39 weeks, entering the Q1 pay band (£28,840.32–£33,384.96).

Must plan, deliver and differentiate lessons and monitor learner progress against EHCP targets. Role requires safeguarding commitment, OFSTED awareness, and collaboration with external partners to support life after college for students.

Qualifications

• A level 2+ English language and maths qualification.
• A level 5+ teaching qualification.
• Experience of sequenced steps and differentiated materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, plan and assess curriculum with individualised approach and clear outcomes.
• Assess and record learner progress against EHCP plans and targets.
• Deliver teaching aligned to professional standards and learner needs.
