Job summary

SGS Glasgow, the Global Centre of Excellence for Biosafety Testing, is seeking a detail‑oriented Test Item Controller to support the safe handling, tracking, storage and shipment of samples used in life‑saving medicines.

Join a highly organised lab support team, where you will log and issue samples, prepare shipments, maintain accurate databases and provide admin support while communicating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory support, sample management, administration, logistics, or quality roles.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication with clients and colleagues; team player.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, logging, storing, and issuing samples.
• Preparing shipments and coordinating sample deliveries.
• Supporting laboratory housekeeping, cleaning, and waste management.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and databases.
• Communicating with clients and internal teams regarding samples and paperwork.
• Providing general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and archiving.
