Job summary

Search-Select LTD seeks an Assistant Manager - Life Insurance to join the Life team on a permanent basis. The role supports Senior Managers in supervisory responsibilities and builds relationships with Authorised Insurers and regulators to ensure all legislative requirements are met.

The role covers planning, on-site inspections, regulatory systems development, and timely delivery of supervisory activities while maintaining a high professional standard and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Hold, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification. Essential/Desirable as described in the role profile.
• Evidence of continuing professional development is essential.
• Relevant industry experience in operational, compliance, insurance, risk or audit/accounting roles.
• Awareness of Life Insurance and associated legislation and guidance including trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the supervisory methodology for Life industry, coordinating the supervisory plan and activities.
• Assist in evaluating proposals for new licences and changes to existing licences.
• Support day-to-day supervisory activities including diary management, record management and reporting.
• Assist in reviewing regulatory returns and understanding risk as it applies to insurers and their business profiles.
• Plan and conduct on-site inspections within the supervisory plan.
