Job summary

Worcestershire Regulatory Services is seeking a Principal Licensing Officer (Enforcement and Compliance) to lead the Licensing Services team across Worcestershire. The role involves supervising licensing officers and support staff to deliver high-quality enforcement in line with statutory requirements.

You will oversee investigations into breaches, review reports, and advise on further action while managing resources and ensuring delivery of objectives in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level education with proven management experience.
• Experience in licensing, regulatory or policing environment is essential.
• Knowledge of taxi and private hire licensing, Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, animal licensing, caravan licensing and street trading is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage licensing team members to meet objectives.
• Supervise investigators handling breaches of licensing conditions and law.
• Review reports and advise legal departments on further actions.
• Allocate resources using tasking processes and prioritise enforcement priorities.
