Job summary

South Norfolk and Broadland Councils are seeking an experienced licensing professional to join our Licensing Team in a new management role. You will support delivery of complex licensing activities and provide direct line management for Assistant Licensing Officers, taking ownership of day-to-day management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or substantial equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of licensing legislation and its application.
• Experience managing teams and/or projects in a complex environment.
• Ability to work politically with Elected Members and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management responsibilities within the Licensing Team.
• Represent the team as a lead officer and coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Use project management methodologies to improve the customer journey and efficiency.
• Investigate breaches of licensing law and prepare reports and prosecutions when needed.
• Support policy reviews, consultations and income recovery actions.
• Travel to multiple sites as part of duties.
