Job summary

Wirral Council is seeking a Licensing Enforcement Officer to protect the public, support businesses and ensure compliance with licensing legislation across alcohol, taxis, gambling, street trading and other activities.

You will carry out inspections, investigate complaints, gather evidence, prepare case files and take proportionate enforcement action. The role combines fieldwork with collaborative work with licence holders and partner agencies to uphold public safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulatory, enforcement, investigative, or compliance role.
• Ability to gather and assess evidence, interpret legislation and policy.
• Produce accurate written reports.
