Job summary

Decypher is seeking a licensed clinical social worker for an onsite role at RAF Lakenheath, England. You will perform psychosocial assessments, counseling, psychotherapy, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

The position requires a CSWE-accredited MSW, BLS, active LCSW license, and at least 2 years post-MSW clinical experience; US citizenship is required. Relocation and visa sponsorship are provided by Decypher.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited School of Social Work fully accredited by the CSWE.
• Current full, active, unrestricted license to practice as an LCSW.
• 2 years post-MSW experience in a clinical/treatment setting within the last 3 years.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess psychosocial functioning and create treatment plans.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide treatment to diverse clients.
• Apply CBT/PE/EMDR training in clinical care where required.

• Work within licensed privileges and provide staff consultations.

Job Summary: LSCW will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, counseling, psychotherapy, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment to individuals, families, couples, children, and groups while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate from an Accredited School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Experience:
  • Experience in clinical social work, either through a master's-level practicum or
  • 2 years post-MSW experience, within the last 3 years, in a clinical/treatment setting.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Position is located in Lakenheath - Suffolk, England. Decypher will pay for relocation and Visa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services.
• Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Independently conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational, and other diverse backgrounds. Training in at least one of the following three evidenced based behavioral health treatments is required: 1) Cognitive Processing therapy, 2) Prolonged Exposure Therapy, or 3) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
• Use medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures. This includes acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses/injuries, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.
• Implement treatment modalities in working with individuals, children, families and groups who are experiencing a variety of psychiatric, medical and social problems to achieve treatment goals.
• Independently provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, children, couples, and families.
• Must practice within the bounds of the license or certification and the privileges granted by the MTF.
• Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and compliance with treatment.
• Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other organizations.

Work Environment & Schedule: Onsite, Lakenheath Air Force Health Clinic. 40 hours per week.

Physical requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while delivering brief patient consultations, documenting in electronic medical records, and participating in team meetings, with frequent use of standard office equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff in potentially high-stress situations, maintain focus in a fast-paced clinical environment, and occasionally move throughout the facility and lift up to 10-15 pounds.
