Job summary

Babcock at RAF Cosford near Albrighton, Wolverhampton, seeks a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to maintain aircraft to the highest safety and regulatory standards. You will work on complex aviation platforms, supporting operational readiness and the mission.

Day-to-day, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, certify work under Part 145, diagnose faults, and ensure complete and accurate records. The role is full-time, on site, with 40-hour weeks and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
• Holding type ratings across suitable aircraft platforms.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with regulatory requirements.
• Certify work completed in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Ensure maintenance records are accurate and compliant.
• Support continuous improvement for safety, quality, and performance.
