Job summary

Novus, part of the LTE Group, is looking for a Library Support Officer to join the team at HMP Humber. The role is permanent, part-time (18.5 hours per week) with a pro-rata salary and a competitive benefits package.

You will support students and staff with information needs and help ensure the library runs smoothly. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Library and Information Services qualification (or working towards it), plus Level 2 literacy/numeracy, and strong IT and

We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Humber, working as a Library Support Officer. This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Humber Prison is a Category C men’s prison located in Everthorpe, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Designed to house inmates from various backgrounds, Humber Prison provides a structured environment aimed at rehabilitation and re‑integration into society. The team’s aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:
