Job summary

Hertfordshire Libraries in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our busy library team. The role covers helping customers, issuing and returning books, providing IT support, and assisting with library activities on Saturdays as part of a rota.

Starting salary £26,016 with potential progression to £26,427 per annum, pro-rata for part-time staff. This permanent post is 6.5 hours per week on Saturdays, based in Welwyn Garden City Library, within the Resources

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer focused environment
• Understanding and application of good customer service principles
• Demonstrable organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service aims
• Experience of running events for children or adults
• Working knowledge of Office
