Job summary

Libraries NI is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Assistant Building Supervisor to provide cleaning and non-cleaning services within Belfast Library premises. The role includes building security, site maintenance, and supporting day-to-day operations, with hours of 36 per week.

The position requires a valid full driving licence and prior experience as a caretaker or building supervisor. The base location is Belfast Library and there are shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings and

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with Libraries NI procedures.
• Open and close library buildings and act as a key holder.
• Maintain the security of library premises.
• Report maintenance issues and health and safety concerns.
• Follow all Health and Safety policies, including COSHH and CLP regulations.
• Work independently or as part of a team to support library operations.
