A local government council in Market Harborough is seeking a Library Services Assistant to deliver high-quality services to library users. The role involves assisting with information retrieval, displaying materials, and organizing events. Ideal candidates will have a passion for reading, excellent communication skills, and experience with digital technology. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.
As a Library Services Assistant, you will work as part of a team responsible for providing a high-quality, welcoming, and efficient library service to all customers. You will support library users to find the information and resources they need, assist them to use IT systems, shelve and display books and other materials, and deliver library events such as IT tasters and sessions for under 5's. You will also be required to promote customer choice and enjoyment in reading, and the service's digital offer including e-books and online reference resources.
