Coleg Cambria are now looking to appoint a Library & Academic Skills Coordinator to join our team based at Yale and Bersham Road.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Coleg Cambria as part of the Library & Academic Skills team. We are looking to recruit a line manager with proven experience of leading a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Motivating and developing your team through strong line management will be key to ensuring that the Library & Academic Skills service contributes to an excellent learner journey experience while studying with Coleg Cambria. Strong line management skills are essential for this role, and delivering impact and successful outcomes will be a key area of responsibility.
Based in a busy library environment, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver a library service that includes group and 1:1 support for a diverse range of learners, with a primary focus on enabling learners to succeed through academic skills development. In addition to this, you will ensure that the library environments are operationally sound, providing a welcoming and appropriate study and social space for learners that encompass the ethos of Coleg Cambria. Having a strong background and experience in planning and delivering support in an educational context, you will liaise closely with curriculum and college support staff to promote, identify and develop intervention strategies that create positive outcomes. Additionally, through close cooperation with key HE departments, you will develop and deliver a strategic approach to providing guidance on academic study skills to our HE cohorts to enhance their university experience and to support them in their success.
By sourcing, promoting and utilising digital learning content and education focussed technology, you will provide up to date and relevant content across a wide range of curriculum areas. Having a financial awareness of budget monitoring and purchasing processes will play a part in your line management responsibilities, as well as fostering excellent relationships with staff and students will be essential to implement the objectives of the service.
