Job summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a passionate Librarian to lead our school library and foster a lifelong love of reading among students. You will create an inviting space for curiosity, support research and study skills, and manage a dynamic collection of books and resources.

You will be enthusiastic, approachable and committed to helping every student discover the joy of reading and learning. DBS checks will be required for safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in developing research and study skills for academic success.
  • Curate and grow a diverse, engaging collection of books and resources.
  • Organise events and activities that promote reading and lifelong learning.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Librarian to lead our school library and encourage a lifelong love of reading among our students.

As our Librarian, you will create a welcoming space where curiosity can flourish, support all students in developing research and study skills, manage an inspiring collection of books and resources, and organise events and activities that bring reading to life.

You will be enthusiastic, approachable and committed to helping every student discover the joy of reading and learning. If you believe that books can change lives and you enjoy working with young people, we would love to hear from you.
