Earlsfield Library is seeking a new Librarian responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility. It is one of 11 libraries operated by GLL in Wandsworth, situated in the heart of the community. The library has an excellent reputation for user and community engagement, and as a Librarian, you will need to build and enhance this reputation.

What you’ll do:

1. Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the library.
2. Lead on the strategic direction to expand library usage.
3. Manage your library team.
4. Oversee stock management and undertake general administration, including cash handling.
5. Manage the safety and security of the building.
6. Be hands-on with community activities such as Baby Rhyme Time.
7. Build and develop good relationships with local contacts and partnerships to enhance the service and ensure the library is an integral part of the community.

• Excellent understanding of all library operations.
• Ability to manage a budget.
