Are you enthusiastic and passionate about supporting NHS staff working in primary care and mental health services with tailored knowledge and library services? We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Outreach Librarian to join our friendly, hard-working and innovative team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Knowledge & Library Services.
The post is offered as a two-year fixed term contract in the first instance (working 3 days a week). It is also an excellent secondment opportunity if you are currently working at Band 5 and want to gain experience at the next higher grade.
The postholder will develop and manage the delivery of effective Knowledge and Library Services to community and mental health teams in East Sussex. They will also be responsible for current awareness and literature search service promoting evidence-based decision making to all professional staff.
The purpose of the knowledge specialist is to enable primary care and mental health staff to access and use quality evidence from research and best practice as well as organisational knowledge to underpin decision-making.
The post holder will work as part of a team to deliver the full range of effective knowledge and library services to Trust staff, students on placement and partner organisations with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
