NHS Grampian is offering a part-time (22.2 hrs) Band 7 secondment within the Department of Psychological Medicine for 6 months. Job description

A part time (22.2 hr) Band 7 secondment for 6 months has opened up within the small highly specialised team at the Department of Psychological Medicine. We are based in Ashgrove House at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary providing psychiatric and psychological assessment and input to patients within Aberdeen general Hospitals.

We are looking to recruit a RMN who has developed a high level of clinical competence in mental health assessment. The post holder will assess referrals from Aberdeen general hospitals, and will be able to communicate their view and immediate plan to the patient, family and medical team both in the hospital and General practice.

You must be able to work well within a fluctuating and unpredictable caseload, which at times can be both challenging and rewarding. This post is predominately 9-5pm with the post holder working on average one weekend a month.

An interest and enthusiasm to mentor nurses, students and medical trainees is an advantage, your ability to work well and alongside various other disciplines in multiple settings is essential.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
