NHS Scotland is hiring a Lead Alcohol Liaison Nurse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This permanent position involves supporting alcohol-related patient care, managing a team, and collaborating with various health services. The candidate must be a registered nurse with a focus on compassion and effective communication.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join the Alcohol Liaison Nursing team based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The service provides a key link between hospital, community alcohol and drugs services, the third sector, and wider care providers. You will be responsible for person-centred, holistic assessment of patients presenting to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with alcohol-related issues within the NHS Grampian region. You will also participate in supporting and educating staff within the acute hospital setting.
We are looking for highly motivated, compassionate registered nurses with excellent communication skills from either an adult (RGN) or mental health (RMN) nursing background who have previous experience or a genuine interest in addiction care.
You will be responsible for managing a team, working with patients, carers, and other professionals/agencies in line with legislative frameworks, standards, and policies.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
