Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Technician to join the Simply Business liability team on a hybrid model in the UK. You will manage Third Party Property Damage claims and settle claims up to the desk, with a focus on accuracy, empathy, and timely communication with policyholders and insurers.

The role emphasizes variety, problem-solving, and opportunities for growth, including a path toward the Cert CILA qualification, training programs, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing liability claims across liability areas (property damage, employer’s liability, public liability).
• Excellent communication with policyholders, insurers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Commitment to pursuing Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters’ Cert CILA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Identify fraudulent claims and evaluate evidence.
• Handle correspondence and calls, issue client updates and maintain diary processes.
• Make informed settlement decisions and manage claims through to resolution.

We have a fantastic opportunity for Claims Technicians working on a hybrid basis

An excellent opportunity has arisen in our Simply Business liability team. We are seeking individuals with previous liability claims handling experience or from an insurance background.

Simply Business, is an online broker with more than 20 Insurers on their panel. The dedicated team handle property damage, employer’s liability, public liability, personal accident, legal expenses and home emergency claims, handling claims up to £10,000 at the desk.

You will manage Third Party Property Damage claims, making informed decisions and taking claims through to settlement.

Key responsibilities include identifying fraudulent claims, evaluating evidence, handling correspondence and calls, issuing client updates, and maintaining diary processes. Empathy, understanding, and strong communication skills are essential.
