Job summary

MPJ Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a Stoke-based insurance business to recruit an experienced Liability Claims Handler. The role involves managing liability claims from notification through to settlement, with hybrid working and a salary up to £40,000 DOE.

You will assess liability and damages, gather evidence, negotiate settlements and maintain strong relationships with clients and solicitors, while keeping to SLAs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in liability claims handling or insurance is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret policy wording and assess liability.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of liability claims from initial notification through to settlement.
• Investigate claims, gather evidence, and assess liability and damages.
• Negotiate settlements and maintain relationships with clients, claimants and solicitors.
• Ensure claims are handled in line with policy terms, regulations and SLAs.
• Produce reports and summaries for management as required.
