Job summary

Grundon is seeking a dedicated Driver for our Colnbrook depot. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 15:00–01:00, with a competitive salary plus a driver bonus scheme and fully funded CPC training on a working day.

You will operate a range of waste collection vehicles, delivering a dependable service across multiple locations while upholding safety and customer care. You must hold an LGV Class 2 licence with DQC and a tachograph card; Class 1 licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must hold LGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, DQC, and digital tachograph driver card.
• Possession of a Class 1 (C+E) licence would be advantageous.
• Experience driving roll on roll offs, skips, front end loaders and waste wheelers would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks, complete defect/damage reports, and follow the correct escalation process.
• Comply with tachograph legislation, Working Time Directive, and all company SOPs, risk assessments, and H&S requirements (including PPE).
• Report incidents, near misses, contaminated bins, and non-conforming waste promptly, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed with job tickets.
• Maintain vehicles to a high standard, including cleanliness and weekly wheel nut torque checks.
• Provide excellent service to colleagues and customers, demonstrating reliability and strong timekeeping.
