Job summary

Grundon is seeking a dedicated driver to join our Colnbrook operations. You will drive waste collection vehicles, perform pre-shift checks, and ensure safe, compliant operations across sites. A full UK licence, LGV2, DQC and tachograph card are required, with Class 1 as a bonus. Training is provided for equipment and routes.

The role demands flexibility for early start times, possible overtime, and a customer‑focused approach to deliver reliable service while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving license and LGV Class 2 licence.
• Must have Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and tachograph card.
• A Class 1 licence is an advantage.
• Experience with roll on roll offs, skips and waste vehicles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reports, following escalation processes.
• Comply with tachograph rules, directives, SOPs, risk assessments, and H&S requirements.
• Report incidents and complete paperwork including job tickets promptly.
• Maintain vehicles to a high standard, including regular checks and cleanliness.
• Provide reliable service to colleagues and customers with strong timekeeping.
• Be flexible with working hours and occasional overtime to meet needs.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in ad hoc projects as required.
