Job summary

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an LGV Mechanic in Malvern. The role is permanent, 37 hours weekly, with on-call duties on a 1-in-6 rota.

Salary ranges from £35,570 to £37,563 per year with guaranteed allowances and a substantial on‑call allowance. Based at Betony Road, you will maintain fire appliances and specialist vehicles in a modern workshop and at stations across Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Qualifications

• Time served LGV, HGV and PSV mechanics considered
• Full UK driving licence may be required
• On-call rota involvement and workshop work

Responsibilities

• Maintain fleet of fire appliances and specialist vehicles
• Work across Malvern and fire stations to service equipment
• Support safety and readiness of emergency response fleets
