Job summary

Concept Resources is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join the Bromsgrove area fleet maintenance team. You will service, maintain, inspect and repair a range of heavy goods vehicles and fleet equipment to high safety and operational standards.

The role involves working on a busy public-sector fleet, supporting essential services, and ensuring vehicles meet DVSA regulations and licensing requirements. 6:30am–6:00pm shifts with a temporary contract.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV Mechanic in a busy fleet environment.
• Ability to service, repair and maintain heavy goods vehicles to high safety standards.
• Knowledge of DVSA regulations and vehicle testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled servicing and repairs on HGVs and vans.
• Carrying out inspections, examinations and safety checks.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections and ensuring roadworthiness.
• Maintaining accurate records of servicing and repairs.
• Identifying defects and completing repairs efficiently.
• Collaborating with colleagues to maximise fleet availability.
• Adhering to workshop health and safety procedures.
• Supporting maintenance of vehicles across council services.
