Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking an enthusiastic HGV Driver to join the Transport and Logistics team at Tor Multimix in Glastonbury. You will deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers and depots, while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards.

You will be part of a supportive team, with full training on products and processes. A valid LGV licence with Driver CPC and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, are essential for this permanent role.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C or C+E licence with Driver CPC.
• Proven LGV driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of local roads and route planning.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV vehicles in line with UK laws and policy.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload goods using proper handling techniques.
• Deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers on time.
• Maintain communication with Distribution regarding delays or route changes.
• Ensure load security and accurate documentation.
• Complete delivery logs and digital entries accurately.
• Provide professional customer service and represent Breedon positively.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Flexible to work nights and weekends as required.
