Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) Driver for our Inverness Concrete Plant. You will deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate paperwork.

Full training on our products and processes is provided to meet our high standards for safety and environmental practices. Ideal candidates hold a valid LGV licence (Class 2 preferred) with Driver CPC and are flexible for occasional nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C or C+E LGV licence and Driver CPC.
• Proven LGV driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of local roads and route planning.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles in line with UK road laws and policies.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload goods using safe handling techniques or equipment.
• Deliver concrete, coated asphalt and aggregates to customers on time, with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain communication with Distribution Department about delays or route changes.
• Ensure load security during transit.
• Complete delivery logs, timesheets, and digital entries.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional representation.
• Ensure deliveries meet legal health, safety and environmental standards.
• Contribute to the team with flexible working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
