Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced LGV Driver to join a leading waste and transport team in the New Forest on a temporary contract, with the opportunity for temp-to-perm. The role involves driving LGV vehicles, supervising staff, and ensuring safe operations in a waste environment. Location: New Forest / Ringwood Depot. Pay: £20.00 per hour (CIS or Umbrella).

Hours: Full-time. Start Date: ASAP. Duration: Temporary / Temp-to-Perm.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driving licence, appropriate for the vehicle.
• Minimum 1 year's LGV driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and supervision experience.
• Substantial experience in a waste or transport environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles safely and in line with procedures and legislation.
• Carry out driving duties within a waste/transport environment.
• Supervise staff and lead the team effectively.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, the public and stakeholders.
• Follow written instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and report issues as required.
• Support day-to-day waste and transport operations.
• Represent the organisation professionally to customers and the public.

LGV Driver

• Drive LGV vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with relevant procedures and legislation.
• Carry out driving duties within a waste and transport environment.
• Supervise staff and provide effective leadership to the wider team.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, members of the public and other stakeholders.
• Follow written instructions and complete relevant paperwork accurately.
• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and report any issues where required.
• Support the effective delivery of day-to-day waste and transport operations.
• Maintain a professional approach when representing the organisation to customers and the public.

Requirements

• Valid Class C driving licence, appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
• Minimum 1 year's LGV driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Substantial experience working within a similar waste or transport environment.
• Previous experience supervising staff and leading a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and members of the public.
• Ability to understand written instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
