Job summary

Uttlesford District Council is seeking a reliable Trade Waste Driver to join the Environmental Services team. The role involves driving a trade waste collection vehicle, completing scheduled rounds, and collecting commercial waste from businesses across Uttlesford with a safe, professional, and customer-focused approach.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, adhere to health and safety requirements, and work Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with Category C entitlement.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Polite and professional when dealing with customers.

Job description

Our Environmental Services team is looking for a reliable and motivated Trade Waste Driver to join our busy service. This is a varied and practical role, working Monday to Friday to collect commercial waste from businesses across Uttlesford while providing a safe, professional and customer-focused service.

You will safely drive and operate a trade waste collection vehicle, completing scheduled rounds, collecting commercial waste containers, carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will hold a valid UK driving licence with Category C vocational entitlement and a valid Driver CPC Qualification Card. You should be dependable, able to work effectively as part of a team, and confident dealing with customers in a polite and professional manner.
