Job summary

Fuel Drivers UK Ltd is seeking an LGV Class 1 Gas Driver to transport gas safely and reliably, following delivery instructions and road-safety procedures. London weighting and overtime rates apply.

Full training will be provided and immediate assessment/start options exist. The role requires 2+ years of Class 1 driving, ADR (class 2), CPC, and CE category license, with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Essential: LGV Class 1 entitlement and a safe, responsible driving approach.
• Commercial driving experience is useful; delivery driver experience preferred.
• Gas tanker experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 vehicle to complete planned gas deliveries.
• Safely load and deliver in accordance with customer requirements.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects before or during journeys.
• Follow site procedures and relevant safety requirements when loading and delivering.
• Keep delivery records accurate and communicate any delays or issues.

Fuel Drivers UK are a leading specialist provider of Fuel, Gas and Bitumen Tanker Drivers to the petrochemical sector.

Job Summary

As an LGV Class 1 Gas Driver, you’ll transport gas safely and reliably, following delivery instructions and road-safety procedures. Your careful handling helps customers receive essential supplies safely and on time.

Full training will be provided.

£20.59-£37 per hour

London Weighting £150 per month.

1.5x Overtime rate.

(PAYE and umbrella rates available)

Responsibilities

• Drive an LGV Class 1 vehicle to complete planned gas deliveries.
• Safely load and deliver in accordance with customer requirements.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects before or during journeys.
• Follow site procedures and relevant safety requirements when loading and delivering.
• Keep delivery records accurate and communicate any delays or issues.

Skills

• Required: appropriate LGV Class 1 entitlement and a safe, responsible approach to driving.
• Commercial driving experience is useful; delivery driver experience is preferred.
• Gas tanker experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, reliability and attention to detail.

Essential: Candidates must have:

• ADR (class 2)
• Hold a current LGV class 1 (C&E) licence with no more than three points.
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience of class 1 driving
• Hold a valid CPC licence

Previous Gas/ Fuels experience and PDP are not required as full training will be given.

You must have no more than 3 penalty points on your licence, none of which are related to drink/drug driving offences or dangerous driving.

You are required to:

• Have the ability to work shift patterns that include days, nights, and weekends.
• Live within a maximum of 45 minute commute from the location at which you are applying to work.
• Maintain high levels of customer focus with a keen eye for detail and process.
• Be able to follow instructions in line with comprehensive Company procedures and within strict industry guidelines.
