Pertemps Scotland is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with ADR for a temporary, ongoing role in Motherwell. You will deliver liquefied gases, operate tankers and trailers, and perform on-site safety procedures. Training provided after assessment, with paid site-specific onboarding.

Role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, ADR (Tanks) and tanker experience. The position offers day and night shifts with pay between £19.30/hr and £24.39/hr, depending on shift timing.

HGV Class 1 Driver – ADR

Location: Motherwell, North Lanarkshire

Pay: £19.30/hr (days) to £24.39/hr (nights)

Type: Full-time, temporary, ongoing

Role: Delivering gas products, operating tankers and trailers, minor vehicle repairs, customer interaction, and occasional overnight working.

Role Responsibilities

• Bulk Delivery: Transporting and delivering high-risk liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical clients.
• Safety Compliance: Operating strict health and safety protocols regarding the discharge of hazardous gas materials and dealing with pressure-regulated tankers.
• Vehicle Care: Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks, tracking digital tachograph records, and keeping exact log details.

Key Requirements

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 3 years
• Driver CPC (DQC)
• ADR Class 2 (Tanks)
• Tanker driving experience
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence
• Good knowledge of tachograph legislation and strong safety awareness.

Assessments: Candidates must complete a site driving assessment and an interview with the client prior to final placement. Full paid site-specific training is provided upon passing.
