The Best Connection is hiring an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver in Peterborough for ongoing long-term work. The role involves safe delivery and collection of bulk gas, tanker operations, and strict compliance with DG and tachograph regulations.

You will join a focused logistic team with a well-maintained fleet and on-site parking. Expect early starts at 06:00, with duties covering nationwide gas transport, safety-first procedures, and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• ADR Certificate with Class 2 Gases in Tanks.
• Proven bulk tanker driving experience, preferably with pressurised gases or liquids.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• Punctuality with 06:00 starts.

Responsibilities

• Safe delivery, collection and transport of bulk gas in tankers across the UK network.
• Tanker operations: load/unload using on-board pumping equipment and hoses.
• Maintain compliance with driver hours, tachograph rules, and DG notes.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and risk controls during gas transfers.

Job description

Ongoing Long Term Work. On behalf of a leading logistics client we are looking for an Class 1 ADR Driver.

Pay Rates & Shift

• Days Basic Rate: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | 06:00 Start Times

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Delivery & Collection: Transport, deliver, and collect bulk gas shipments safely and efficiently in Class 2 tankers across the UK network.
• Tanker Operations: Discharge and load bulk liquefied gas safely using specialised on-board pumping equipment and hoses, complying strictly with ADR safety regulations.
• Compliance & Paperwork: Adhere strictly to driver hours, tachograph regulations, and mandatory dangerous goods documentation (Dangerous Goods Notes).
• Safety First Mindset: Maintain a zero-compromise approach to risk, strictly following site safety protocols during gas transfers and handling.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid ADR Certificate (Must include Class 2 Gases in Tanks).
• Proven bulk tanker driving experience, ideally involving pressurised gases or liquids.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Punctual drivers comfortable with early morning starts (06:00).
