Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring Class 1 LGV drivers for a permanent role at Hatfield, operating within a 24/7 shift rota. You will collect and transport mail, drive fixed routes across the UK, and ensure on-time delivery while loading/unloading your vehicle and maintaining security of goods.

The role requires flexibility for night driving, weekends, and bank holidays, with a basic salary of £44,810 per year and overtime opportunities across sites.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual C&E licence: Large Goods Vehicle Class 1 with no more than 6 penalty points and no TT99 endorsement.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working unsupervised for long periods.
• Organised and punctual with initiative and tight timelines.
• Flexible to service demands; able to work a variety of shifts and support the team.
• Community spirited; care about keeping the United Kingdom connected.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and transporting mail from our sites and moving it to the next stage of the delivery process.
• Working independently, driving fixed routes across the UK.
• Loading and unloading your vehicle, delivering to schedule, and maintaining the security of your loaded items.
• Using the latest technology to support your role and achieve efficient job completion.
