Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver in Greater London for depot-to-depot transfers and reliable shifts. The role offers morning, evening, and weekend options with ongoing support from the Pertemps team.

You will drive a class 1 vehicle, perform safety checks, and ensure timely handovers between Royal Mail depots. A valid CE licence and CPC/Tachograph compliance are essential, along with DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence held for at least 12 months.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 180 days of Class 1 driving experience within the last year.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to pass DBS and vetting checks.
• Driving licence showing your current address.

Responsibilities

• Transport mail between Royal Mail depots.
• Follow planned routes with minimal loading or unloading.
• Choose from morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift.
