Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking an LGV 2 Driver for the Ipswich Depot. Monday to Friday, 45-hour contracted week with overtime and to earn bonus. Start/finish times 14:00–00:00. You’ll drive LGV vehicles, collect and empty bins for trade waste customers, working outdoors and using your initiative to help the local environment.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC required.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew, depending on the role.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins at trade waste sites.
• Work as part of a single person crew or with others, outdoors, using initiative.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report defects or issues observed.
