Job summary

Biffa Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an LGV 2 Driver for the PM shift. You will operate front and back loaders, collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, and work as part of a single-person crew.

Start time 13:30, Monday to Friday, with pay £19.46 per hour plus back shift allowance. This role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work and taking initiative to improve local environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders for waste collection.
• Operate in a single-person crew and work outdoors.
• Carry out duties with initiative to support local environmental improvements.
